A long hard slog, with a very difficult period of weather, has made it all the more worthwhile to see the end(ish) product. Whilst there are still some areas that are being considered by planning and therefore unfinished, we held our first wedding today and it seems it was a great success. Many congratulations to Lee and Anne-Marie.

Radier Manor was today used as the backdrop for The Isle's bridal shoot. Locations used were the stone and wooden bridges and in front of the house. Pictures from the shoot will be available later but this is a picture of the shoot.

After landscaping the large and now flat lawn, we had to remove part of the front of well garden. We are having a dry stone wall built with two sets of steps from each side. The picture on the right gives you an idea of what is going on!

Our long drive, which was collapsing has is being re-enforced and re-surfaced. We are taking this opportunity to widen the drive to allow better vehicular access, in case of emergencies.

Last year we were asked by the Jersey Animal Shelter if we would be happy for a rescue duck to be introduced to our pond. Now, 4 months on, "Brandy" is doing well, although she does have a slight problem folding back her wings. We are still trying to identify what kind of duck she is. We think she may be a Muscovy but the white head is unusual. If you have any idea, or can confirm our suspicion, please email us

The major landscaping of the valley lawn finished today, leaving us with a large 35m x 16m area, capable of taking the largest marquee in the island. The picture right shows the "lawn" as it is now, ready for the laying of irrigation pipes and seeding.
